read threads not updating as such in the topic list

i’m experiencing a bug where I can read all the posts in a thread and then go back to the topic list and it’ll show me that i still have new posts to read. this doesn’t happen in every thread and i can’t figure out any common denominator linking the threads where it does happen.

yeah I’ve had this happen to me too
I have an idea of how to make it better
