would it be possible to have a message somewhere on the main zone page that has a message to the effect of ‘x’ number of users online in the past half hour or something? sometimes there’s this special feeling you get when you’re browsing a board at 3:00 AM and you know that you’re not alone

maybe this already is somewhere and i’ve missed it but I looked pretty hard

I know that this works on a topic-by-topic basis but I think it’d be cool to have it for the site as a whole.

OK i added the initial version of this to the front page
it’s not real time, and it only counts you as ‘online’ if you’re inside a thread somewhere
later on i will make it real time and also add real time bits to the front page and the thread list

also dont worry it’ll show private zones if you’re a member of them, but otherwise it’ll hide them
