Notices (1) doesn't go away

Okay the notification just showed up but says 2 hours ago and now the (1) went away

This is now happening to me. I don’t have any unread notices when I click this.

This appears to have gone away after someone reacted to one of my posts and I followed the link to it in the Latest/Notices view

i know why this happens but it’s probably a really evil data race that is hard to fix
i have some ideas (and i can fix it totally by just disabling caching) but yeah its not so easy ;_;

wish I had this problem (by being super popular)
